Former Spice Girls superstar Victoria Beckham continues to carve out a name for herself in the fashion world with the launch of her latest collection in Canada.

The style icon and fashion designer visited Holt Renfrew's Vancouver flagship store for a photo call and private customer event aimed at showcasing her fall/winter 2012 ready-to-wear collection.

It was Victoria Beckham's first visit to Canada and to the luxury store which is exclusively carrying the ready-to-wear collection, as well as a range of handbags and sunglasses, too, all of which are now on public view in a specially created in-store installation.

The Victoria Beckham fashion label represents modern luxury and consist of the Ready-to-Wear, Denim, Eyewear, Accessories and new 'Victoria' collections. All are conceived by Victoria and developed at her studio in London with the same aspirational, chic and refined aesthetic that is at the heart of Victoria's creative vision.

Launched in September 2008 to great acclaim at New York Fashion Week, Victoria Beckham Ready-to-Wear is handmade in the United Kingdom and stocked internationally by the world's best fashion stores. Victoria's collections have been worn by celebrities including Michelle Williams, Julianne Moore, Beyonce Knowles, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet.

In 2011 Victoria Beckham won "Best Designer Brand" at the British Fashion Awards and "Accessories Designer of the Year" at the Glamour Women of the Year awards.

In 2012 Victoria became international ambassador for GREAT in recognition of her work for British creative industries.

Celebrating a 175-year heritage, Holt Renfrew is recognized worldwide for its inspired shopping experience. Once a purveyor of fashion to Her Majesty Queen Victoria, Holt Renfrew began in 1837 as a modest hat shop in Quebec City. Over the years the brand developed and expanded across Canada. In the 1930's Holt Renfrew began exclusive accounts with some of the best designers in Europe and in 1947 hosted Monsieur Christian Dior when he launched his "New Look".

After many years of foreign ownership Holt Renfrew was bought in 1986 by W. Galen and the Honourable Hilary M. Weston. Under their ownership Holt Renfrew has become Canada's destination for luxury retail. Holt Renfrew has 2,300 employees with nine stores across the country in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto (Bloor Street, Sherway Gardens and Yorkdale Shopping Centre).
